Founded on fun and fitness

Our club was established back in September 2013, following the launch of the Mickey Cranks cycle shop in Witney.

Initially, it was a group of like-minded individuals who got together to ride for fun and fitness, with everything managed through a Facebook page. The same page now has over 1,400 members.

Formal structure

As interest and numbers grew, so did the need for planning and organisation.

This led to the introduction of a more formal club structure in 2017 with a ‘working group’  of volunteers appointed to run the club on behalf of its members.

What our club members say about the club

Don’t just take our word for it, here’s what our members have to say about the club.

"Super friendly and welcoming"

“I have been very impressed with the club, it is super friendly and welcoming. There is no question cycling in a group is the safest way to cycle on UK roads. Thanks to the club, I have learnt a lot about cycling, become fitter and made a bunch of new friends.”

"An active, friendly and welcoming club"

“I have ridden with Mickey Cranks for the last 8 years. I have always found them to be an active, friendly and welcoming club with a broad range of abilities and activities to suit all comers.”
