Off the bike

Believe it or not, it’s not all about the bicycle! All club rides will finish back in Witney and a number of our members like to enjoy a hard earned beer at the end of their ride. This is a good opportunity for a ride debrief, strava analysis and all important “rehydration”.

We hold a number of social events throughout the year, including a summer BBQ, interesting talks at our winter club nights and Christmas drinks. Our annual Christmas Eve “Tinsel Tickle” ride is now legendary!

The end of year sees the presentation of our annual club awards, with members being recognised for their contribution to the club, special achievements or simply being inspirational!

Some club members also enjoyed a warm holiday in Mallorca earlier in the year and a trip to the Pyrenees is planned later in the season.

This year, we hope to run some 100 mile club rides and are exploring options for a weekend cycling trip away. There is plenty on offer for everyone!

Competition Time!

    Sunday 7th December 2025
We are looking for members to submit photos, via any of the club social media channels, including the club logo sticker (available pre-Sunday rides) that fit into one of the four categories below:
1. Most unusual placing of a sticker.
2. The sticker placed furthest from Witney.
3. The sticker placed at the highest elevation and,
4. The most photogenic placing of a club sticker.
Closing date for entries is Sunday 7th December.
Prizes will be awarded at the Christmas social event on 21st December.

Tinsel Tickle

  • Start at UE carpark / finish Burwell Community Centre

The now legendary Tinsel Tickle will be taking place on Sunday 21st December. Rides will leave from UE carpark, Windrush Industrial Estate at 9.00am (fancy dress optional) and will end at Burwell Community Centre for seasonal snacks and beverages. If you are unable to ride, then come along for the social from 11.00am onwards.
