Meet the Working Group
Club representatives
The Club was established in September 2013 following the launch of the Mickey Cranks cycle shop in Witney. A more formal club structure has since been introduced, with a ‘working group’ of volunteers appointed to run the Club on behalf of its members.

Dave Rouget
Chair
As Chair of the Working Group, I steer a most capable team that endeavors to improve our Cycling Club for the benefit of all members. I have been involved with the Club since its inception and my passion is road cycling, particularly longer distance events.

Darren Worthington
Secretary/Vice-Chair
As Club Secretary, I ensure any official documentation is completed and communicate any news and information to the wider membership. I have been a road cyclist for many years, dabbling with some racing and race organising, and involved with Mickey Cranks since the beginning.

Tracey Prior
Treasurer
As Treasurer, I look after the club bank account, make payments as necessary and prepare accounts for presentation to the members at the AGM.
I joined the Cranks in October 2022 to join them on their LEJOG adventure in June 2023. Thought they seemed like a nice bunch!
I’ve cycled forever and dabbled in racing but am slowing up now and very happy to just get out as much as I can and enjoy notching up some miles in the fresh air.

Hannah Makins
Membership Secretary
I can usually be found at the slower end of the club pace spectrum, a position I’ve happily occupied since the club started! I am also the Women’s Rep on the Working Group and will also extol the benefits of time trials to anyone who will listen.

Pete McGrane
Welfare Officer / Junior Development
I have been cycling with the club for almost 10 years, joining not long after the club started. I ride with the Inters and Medium group in the main. In terms of cycling I am prone to the odd long trip and am in prep for a bucket list ride from Vancouver to San Francisco next year. I have a keen interest in the inclusivity of the club, its culture and how we support other riders, knowing that cycling offers much more than physical fitness to many. I am equally passionate about the inclusion of younger riders and junior development as these riders are the lifeblood of the club in years to come. If you see me on the road or on a ride, please do say hello.

Julian Mitchell
Kit Secretary
I’ve been a member of this club since it was established, have been road cycling all my life and particularly enjoy mountain roads and trips away.

Jerry Williams
Social Secretary
Cycling has always been part of my life, from cycling to school and then to work, racing, sportives, audaxes, MTB, touring worldwide, to riding multi-day classic routes. I am always looking for ways to pass on this passion to others at all stages of their cycling journey.

Nathan Izod
Social Rep
I am a local farmer and enjoy cycling when I get the time. Both road cycling and MTB disciplines interest me.

Doug Roberts
Social Rep
I started “proper” cycling in 2014 after replacement of both hips and joined Mickey Cranks in 2016. I am now the Steadies Group Coordinator and lead about every fourth Sunday. I ride out on Tuesdays and Fridays trying to accomplish 100 to 150 miles per week. Coffee and cake is of course mandatory!

Jules Birch
Social Media Secretary
I joined the club in 2015 and quickly became involved in the Crankettes women’s race team and Sunday club riding. I mostly ride road with the occasional foray into gravel or cyclocross. I like to do at least three kit changes before I leave the house for a ride and I seem to have a habit of leaving my cycling helmet on, even at coffee stops!

Mike Page
Social Media Secretary
Having ridden with various cycling clubs for over 40 years, I am hoping for signs of improvement any day now. A very average roadie.
